Message from the President
Dear Local Business,
On behalf of the Orleans County Snowmobile Association (OCSA), I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about a new way that your business can be promoted this upcoming Winter season! OCSA is a non-profit organization made up of representatives from snowmobile clubs in Orleans County. The participating clubs are: Country Riders Snowmobile Club (Jay), Craftsbury Snowmobile Club (Craftsbury), Drift Dusters Snowmobile Club (Derby), Glover Trail Winders (Glover), Hazen’s Notch Snowmobile Club (Lowell), North Country Mountaineers (Coventry), and Orleans SnowStormers (Orleans).
Orleans County is home to approximately 450 miles of snowmobile trails traversing an assortment of terrain. Thousands of snowmobilers per year travel from around New England and beyond to ride and patronize our county businesses. Our county is unique because it provides unforgettable scenic vistas and access to parts of Vermont that are not normally traversed all while being close to local services.
OCSA has partnered with the Top of Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Catamount Trails to create a map featuring the snowmobile trails, hiking trails, and local businesses in Orleans County. We feel that the map will strengthen business, increase promotion & marketing of Orleans County, and help sustain local heritage by providing snowmobilers, hikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts with a detailed map they can use out on the trails. By obtaining a USDA grant, we have been given the opportunity to offer sponsorship on this map at a very low cost to our businesses.
The map will be available in an electronic format and 40,000 copies will be printed and distributed to many locations across the county and statewide! Another added benefit is that the one time fee for the basic advertisement also provides a one-year membership to the Top of Vermont Chamber of Commerce. By joining their organization, your business will see MANY other benefits that are included in their membership.
If there is anything equally important as snow on our trail system, it would be our local businesses. Our snowmobilers travel here to experience what you have to offer. We hope that your business will take advantage of this brand new opportunity to advertise on the very first Orleans County Snowmobile Trails Map. For more information, contact me at the information below or your local club. Their information can be found on in the links below. Think Snow!
Sincerely,
Roger M. Gosselin
